Classes Druid

Druid

Asyncio 26 September 2026 105

The druid is the only class with four specializations: ranged damage, melee damage, tank and healer. That means four artifacts, four sets of gear and complete freedom to switch roles to whatever the group needs.

The stat priorities are a guideline for 7.3.5. The exact order depends on your talents and legendaries, so check the final answer with a sim.

Balance

  • A caster in Moonkin Form: you build Astral Power with your fillers and dump it into your spenders.
  • Key buttons: Solar Wrath and Lunar Strike as fillers, Starsurge on a single target, Starfall on packs of three or more.
  • Watch the Astral Power bar: overcapping the resource is a straight damage loss, and spenders are never held back "for later".
  • Celestial Alignment (or Incarnation if you take the talent) is your main burst — bank resource for it in advance.

Feral

  • Melee in Cat Form built on damage over time: you build combo points with your attacks and spend them on bleeds.
  • Key buttons: Rip and Savage Roar must never fall off, Rake and Shred build combo points, Ferocious Bite finishes at five points.
  • Watch your bleed timers: refresh them in the last third of their duration, otherwise you lose damage.
  • Tiger's Fury is both energy and a damage buff: press it before you apply fresh bleeds.

Guardian

  • A bear tank with a huge health pool and active mitigation through armor.
  • Key buttons: Ironfur is kept stacked up against physical damage, Mangle and Thrash generate Rage and threat.
  • Watch your Rage: it should never pile up unused — wasted Rage is an Ironfur you did not apply.
  • Frenzied Regeneration is self-healing paid for with Rage, while Barkskin and Survival Instincts are your cooldowns for the heavy hits.

Restoration

  • A healer built on healing over time: it works best when the HoTs are already rolling before the damage lands.
  • Key buttons: Rejuvenation as your foundation, Wild Growth on the group, Swiftmend on top of your HoTs, Lifebloom on the tank.
  • Watch your mana: blanketing everyone in sight with Rejuvenation is the number one reason your mana bar runs dry.
  • Tranquility is your main raid cooldown, and Innervate hands an ally faster mana regeneration.

Legendary items

  • The Emerald Dreamcatcher — helm for Balance: Starsurge reduces the cost of your next Starsurge by 5 Astral Power, up to 2 stacks.
  • Oneth's Intuition — bracers for Balance: Starsurge and Starfall have a 20% chance to make each other free.
  • Behemoth Headdress — helm for Feral: finishers extend Tiger's Fury by 0.5 seconds for every combo point spent.
  • Luffa Wrappings — bracers for Guardian and Feral: Thrash deals 25% more damage and hits a larger area.
  • Aman'Thul's Wisdom — shoulders for Restoration: Rejuvenation on a target at full health is extended by 3 seconds, up to a maximum of +9 seconds per cast.

Until your spec's legendaries drop, wear the all-purpose Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus and Sephuz's Secret — they work for all four specs.

Class Order Hall

The druid order hall is the Dreamgrove in Val'sharah; you get there through the class call at level 98. Inside you will find the artifact forge, the champion mission table, Artifact Power turn-ins and portals around the Broken Isles.

Tips for newcomers

  • Four specs is no reason to level four artifacts at once: take one all the way, and the rest will catch up later thanks to the high Artifact Knowledge on 7.3.5.
  • Your forms are your mobility: Travel Form speeds you up out in the world, while Dash and Wild Charge get you out of mechanics without spending a real cooldown.
  • Shifting into a form breaks snares and roots — the most useful druid button there is, in Mythic+ and in PvP alike.
