Highmountain is the northern zone of the Broken Isles: mountain plateaus, a floating tauren city and drogbar tunnels. It scales 98–110. The main reason to come here on 7.3.5 is the allied race.
Getting there and where to start
- Pick Highmountain at Khadgar's map in Dalaran, or fly in from Val'sharah or Stormheim.
- What the story is about: King Dargrul's drogbar have stolen the Hammer of Khaz'goroth, and the four tauren tribes are not speaking to one another. Your job is to unite them behind Mayla Highmountain.
- Route: south (Rivermane) → Thunder Totem → north to Skyhorn and west to Bloodtotem → the "Huln's War" memories → the finale on Snowblind Mesa.
- Seven chapters complete the achievement Ain't No Mountain High Enough.
- The hunter order hall, Trueshot Lodge, sits in this zone.
Highmountain is the most "vertical" zone in Legion: a spot right next to you on the map can be 200 metres higher up. Open the flight points straight away, especially the one in Thunder Totem, and use the drogbar tunnels.
Reputation: Highmountain Tribe
The faction is the Highmountain Tribe. The quartermaster Ransa Greyfeather stands in Thunder Totem (38.8, 45.4).
- The story only gives you about half the way to Honored — quests alone will not get you to Revered.
- The main source is World Quests and the emissary package for four quests.
- Chests and rares drop the Greater Highmountain Tribe Insignia — 1500 reputation on the spot.

After Exalted the paragon system kicks in: every 10,000 reputation gives Highmountain Supplies with a small chance at the elderhorn mount Highmountain Elderhorn.
Allied race
The Highmountain tauren unlock account-wide on two conditions: Exalted with the Highmountain Tribe and the Ain't No Mountain High Enough achievement. After that the recruitment questline appears.
The dungeon and everything else
- Neltharion's Lair — the zone's only dungeon, 4 bosses: Rokmora, Ularogg Cragshaper, Naraxas and Dargrul the Underking. Linear, and often taken as a "training" Mythic+ keystone.
- Treasures of Highmountain — 40 chests, many of them in caves and underwater.
- Adventurer of Highmountain — about two dozen encounters with rares.
- The zone's world bosses are Calamir and Drugon the Frostblood.
