World Quests are Legion's main daily content. Every reputation, every piece of gear, every currency and the road to flying all run through them.
How to unlock World Quests
They are unlocked by the quest Uniting the Isles from Khadgar in Dalaran's Violet Citadel. You need:
- level 110;
- Friendly with the five Broken Isles factions: Court of Farondis, Dreamweavers, Highmountain Tribe, Valarjar and the Nightfallen.
The reward is the Flight Master's Whistle, a teleport to the nearest flight master on the isles. The single most useful item in the expansion.
Friendly comes on its own from the zone stories. If you are short somewhere, finish that zone's story chain — that is the fastest way.
Emissaries
Emissary quests are up every day, usually for three factions at once. Complete 4 World Quests for the faction you need and you get 1500 reputation plus a bag with gear, Order Resources, gold and currency.
This is the main source of reputation in Legion. The quest stays up for up to three days — you can stockpile the bags and open them once your item level has grown, because the rewards scale.

Every faction has its own quartermaster: recipes, shoulder enchants, tabards, cosmetics, pets. The stock opens up as your reputation grows.
After Exalted the reputation keeps building: for every 10,000 on top you get a paragon cache with a small chance at a mount, a pet or a toy. The caches never run out, but the reward is not guaranteed — the realistic road to a mount is dozens of caches.
The currencies people ask about most
- Order Resources — order hall upgrades, hiring champions, missions.
- Seal of Broken Fate — a bonus roll on loot. Up to 3 a week can be bought from Lan'dalock in Dalaran, with a cap of 6 on hand.
- Curious Coin — the vendor Xur'ios in Dalaran, the Arcadian War Turtle mount for 150 coins.
- Wakening Essence — a legendary for 1000, an upgrade to item level 1000 for 300.
- Zone currencies: Ancient Mana (Suramar), Nethershard (Broken Shore), Veiled Argunite (Argus).
- There is no Valor in Legion: the PvP currency is called the Mark of Honor.
The running order to flying
- Unlock World Quests and pick up the emissaries every day.
- Take six factions to Revered — Exalted is not needed for flying.
- Finish Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part One: exploration and the story of all five zones, 100 different World Quests, and the Class Order Hall campaign. It gives +20% movement speed.
- Finish Part Two: Revered with the Armies of Legionfall, exploring the Broken Shore and the Breaching the Tomb campaign. That is flying itself, account-wide.
