Legion has around eighty mounts, and most of them come not from bosses but from reputations, rare mobs and achievements. Here are the most notable ones and where they actually come from.
The main mounts and their sources
| Mount | Source |

| Valarjar Stormwing | Valarjar paragon cache |
| Wild Dreamrunner | Dreamweavers paragon cache |
| Leywoven Flying Carpet | Nightfallen paragon cache |
| Abyss Worm | Mistress Sassz'ine, Tomb of Sargeras (chance) |
| Antoran Charhound | Hounds of Sargeras, Antorus (chance) |
| Shackled Ur'zul | Argus the Unmaker, Mythic Antorus (~1%) |
| Lightforged Warframe | Army of the Light vendor for gold, Exalted |
| Acid Belcher | the rare Skreeg the Devourer, Eredath (~3%) |
| Vile Fiend | the rare Houndmaster Kerrax, Antoran Wastes (~3%) |
| Hippogryph for the Legion dungeons | the Glory of the Legion Hero achievement |
Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part Two does not give a mount by itself — it unlocks flying. But you cannot get the class mount without it, so finish it first.
Paragon reputations
- After Exalted, every 10,000 reputation awards a paragon cache with a quest inside.
- Six Broken Isles reputations each give their own mount (all except the Wardens), the Army of the Light caches drop elekks, and the Argussian Reach gives assorted odds and ends.
- The chance of a mount in a cache is small, but the caches are endless: keep running emissaries for the faction you need.
Argus mounts
- Mana rays and the multi-colored Ruinstriders: some drop from the rare mobs of Krokuun, Eredath and the Antoran Wastes, and some are sold for reputation.
- Argus rares can be killed once a day; the chance goes up when a World Quest is active on them.
- The fastest way to get around all of them is a route over the rares and chests right after the daily reset.
- The rares also drop Veiled Argunite along the way, so farming mounts gears your character up at the same time.
Pets
- There are 15 master tamers on the Broken Isles; their battles show up as World Quests and reward Pet Charms, Order Resources and gold.
- Pet battle quests are an easy way to finish off an emissary if you do not feel like running the zone's PvE quests.
- Pet dungeon challenges: Wailing Caverns and the Deadmines give a cache of pet goods once a week and a chance at exclusive critters.
- Level 25 pets are required for some of the quests: you will not beat the Broken Isles tamers with a weak team.
- The "Family Familiar" achievement (beat 12 tamers with a team from a single family, and do that for all ten families) awards a Nightmare Treant.
