1.What this document covers

1.1 This sets out what data we collect, why, how long we keep it, who we pass it to, and what you can do about it. It covers the azeron.org website, the forum, your account panel, the game server and the launcher.
1.2 Data is processed by the administration of the Azeron Project. You can reach us at support@azeron.org, on the forum or in Discord.
1.3 We try to collect the minimum: only what the service cannot work without. Data is not sold and is not passed to third parties for advertising.
1.4 By using the Project you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not register and do not enter the game.

2.1 When you register: your login, email address and password. The password is not stored in the clear but as an irreversible cryptographic hash — the original password cannot be recovered from it, not even by us.
2.2 When you log in and play: your IP address, the date and time of each login, information about your characters and progress, and actions that matter for running the server and handling complaints.
2.3 On the forum and in your account panel: your nickname, posts, threads, private messages, avatar and signature — everything you publish yourself.
2.4 When you buy AZ Coins: the amount, the date, the payment ID and its status. We never receive or store your bank card details — you enter them on the payment service's side.
2.5 When you link Telegram or Discord: the account id and name in that service. Linking is optional and can be undone.
2.6 Technical data: browser type, interface language, launcher version and the addresses of requested pages. The web server writes these to its log.
2.7 We do not collect data unrelated to running the service: your real name, address, identity documents, health information, political views and the like. Do not put any of that in your nickname, signature or posts.

3.1 To create and protect your account and give you access to the game, the forum and your account panel.
3.2 To restore access if you forget your password, and to notify you of things that matter: a password change, replies on the forum, bug-report statuses.
3.3 To run the game world: saving characters, progress, achievements and in-game transactions.
3.4 To keep order: handling complaints and detecting prohibited software, multi-accounting for unfair advantage, and attempts to break in.
3.5 To record AZ Coins purchases, credit them, and resolve disputed payments.
3.6 To find and fix errors, understand the load, and plan where the Project goes next.

4.1 The site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work: keeping your session after login, protecting forms against request forgery, and remembering the language you chose.
4.2 You can turn these cookies off in your browser, but then logging in to your account panel and the forum will not work.
4.3 We do not set advertising or tracking cookies from third-party networks.
4.4 The launcher stores your settings and, if you enabled "Remember me", an encrypted session — locally on your own computer. Those files are never sent to our servers.

5.1 The payment service — when you buy AZ Coins, to the extent needed to process the payment. It handles the data under its own policy and is responsible for it.
5.2 The hosting provider and the DDoS-protection provider — as technical partners on whose servers the Project runs.
5.3 Services you connected yourself — Discord or Telegram, if you linked an account.
5.4 Where the law requires it — to authorised bodies, if a request is made through the proper procedure.
5.5 Nobody else receives your data; it is not sold and not made available for advertising.
5.6 Public by their nature: your nickname, avatar, signature, role and forum posts, plus character names, levels and achievements in the ladder and the armory. All of that is visible to any visitor — keep it in mind when choosing a nickname.

6.1 Account data and game progress — for as long as the account exists.
6.2 Login logs and web-server logs — up to 12 months, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
6.3 Payment records — 3 years, as accounting rules and the resolution of disputed payments require.
6.4 Forum posts remain after an account is deleted, but they are detached from it and shown without the author's name. Full deletion of posts is possible on separate request.
6.5 After the database wipe before release, game progress is not kept — that is part of the beta test, not a data-processing measure.

7.1 Find out what data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
7.2 Correct inaccurate data — email, nickname, linked accounts — yourself in your account panel, or by contacting us.
7.3 Withdraw your consent and ask for your account and its game data to be deleted.
7.4 Opt out of service emails, except those about account security.
7.5 Complain to the competent data-protection authority if you believe we have breached your rights.
7.6 To exercise any of these rights, write to support@azeron.org from the address on your account, or contact the administration on the forum. We reply within 30 days. To guard against requests from other people, we may ask you to confirm the account is yours.

8.1 Connections to the site and the API are encrypted with HTTPS. The launcher works only over a secure connection and verifies the server's responses.
8.2 Passwords are stored as irreversible hashes; access to the servers is restricted and protected by keys.
8.3 Databases are backed up, and the backups are kept separately from the production servers.
8.4 Nobody can guarantee complete protection. If a breach affects your data, we will say so on the site and in Discord and explain what to do.
8.5 Your account's security also depends on you: use a unique password and never share it with anyone, including people claiming to be the administration.

9.1 The Project is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9.2 If you are under 18, use the Project with the consent of your parents or other legal guardians, especially when buying AZ Coins.
9.3 If it turns out an account was registered by a child under 13, we will delete it along with its data. You can report this to support@azeron.org.

10.1 This policy may change as the Project develops. The current version is always on this page, with the revision date shown at the top.
10.2 We announce material changes in a news post on the site and in Discord at least 7 days before they take effect.
10.3 If you do not agree with a new version, you may stop using the Project and request deletion of your account.
