Terms of Use
The terms Azeron runs on: your account, in-game assets, buying AZ Coins and liability.
The closed beta is running right now. Before release the database will be wiped completely — characters, achievements and collections will not be kept. See section 4 for details, and section 6 for buying AZ Coins.
1.General provisions
- 1.1 These terms set out the conditions on which you use the Azeron game server, the azeron.org website, the forum, the launcher and related services (together, the "Project").
- 1.2 These terms take effect when you register an account or first log in to the server. If you do not agree with any of them, do not register and do not enter the game.
- 1.3 The Project is a non-commercial, amateur initiative. It was built by a community of players, it is not an official product, and it has no connection to the rights holder of the game.
- 1.4 The administration may amend these terms. The current version is always published on this page, with the revision date shown at the top. We announce material changes in a news post on the site and in Discord. By continuing to use the Project after a change, you accept the new version.
- 1.5 Alongside these terms, the Server rules and the Privacy Policy also apply. All three documents work together.
2.Account
- 2.1 You need an account to play. One account has one owner: the person who registered it. Accounts may not be sold, given away, traded or lent out.
- 2.2 There is no limit on how many accounts you may have, but using them for unfair advantage is prohibited: vote stuffing, evading punishments, or abusing events meant for new players.
- 2.3 Keeping the password safe is the owner's responsibility. Every action taken from an account is treated as an action by its owner. Project staff never ask for your password — anyone who does is a scammer.
- 2.4 Your email address is used for account recovery and service notifications. Give an address you can actually access: without it we cannot restore your account.
- 2.5 You may stop using the Project at any time and request deletion of your account — the procedure is set out in the Privacy Policy.
3.Conduct and prohibitions
- 3.1 The full list of rules, penalties and the appeals procedure is on the Server rules page. Below are the conditions whose breach terminates these terms.
- 3.2 Third-party software that gives an advantage is prohibited: bots, cheats, automation of in-game actions, modified clients, and tampering with the game's memory or network traffic.
- 3.3 Deliberately exploiting server or client bugs for gain is prohibited. If you find a bug, report it in the Bug reports section. Using one quietly counts as a violation.
- 3.4 Attempts to disrupt the Project are prohibited: attacks on the infrastructure, password guessing, scanning for and exploiting vulnerabilities, and mass automated registration.
- 3.5 Trading in-game assets for real money is prohibited, as is advertising such trade or other projects.
- 3.6 For violations the administration may restrict access to chat, a character or the whole account, up to a permanent ban. The price of AZ Coins is not refunded when an account is banned for a violation.
4.Closed beta
- 4.1 The Project is in closed beta. That means the service is running in testing mode and may behave unpredictably.
- 4.2 Errors, restarts without warning, database rollbacks and the loss of game progress over any period are all possible.
- 4.3 Before release the database will be wiped completely: characters, achievements, collections, in-game currencies and items. We will announce it in advance, but the wipe itself is a planned event, not a failure.
- 4.4 The administration does not compensate for lost game progress, time or in-game assets, whatever the cause, including server errors, rollbacks and the planned wipe.
- 4.5 Availability of the service is not guaranteed. Maintenance, outages and interruptions may happen at any time.
5.In-game assets
- 5.1 Characters, items, currency, achievements, collections and any other in-game objects are records in the Project's database. They do not become the player's property and they have no monetary value.
- 5.2 The right to use in-game assets lasts exactly as long as the Project exists and as long as your access to it lasts.
- 5.3 The administration may change, rebalance and delete in-game objects where balance, bug fixing or the development of the Project requires it.
- 5.4 Selling, buying and trading in-game assets between players for real money or outside the Project's own mechanisms is prohibited and creates no obligations for the administration. Buying AZ Coins from the Project is governed by section 6.
6.Buying AZ Coins
- 6.1 AZ Coins are the Project's in-game currency. You can buy them on the top-up page of azeron.org. Purchases are processed by a third-party payment service.
- 6.2 The price of AZ Coins and the minimum purchase are shown on the top-up page. The items and services available for AZ Coins and their prices are set by the administration and may change.
- 6.3 AZ Coins are credited to the buyer's account automatically once the payment service confirms the payment, usually within a few minutes.
- 6.4 AZ Coins are in-game assets within the meaning of section 5: they cannot be withdrawn, exchanged for money or transferred to another account; they exist for as long as the Project exists and the buyer's access to it remains.
- 6.5 If AZ Coins were not credited because of a technical error, write to support@azeron.org within 14 days of the payment with your login, the amount, the date and the payment ID — we will credit them manually or refund the payment.
- 6.6 Mistaken and unintended payments (including those made by minors without parental consent) are refunded at the request of the owner of the payment method, provided the AZ Coins from that payment have not been spent. Spent AZ Coins are not refundable except where the law requires it.
- 6.7 By making a purchase you confirm that you are old enough to dispose of the funds yourself, or that you act with the consent of a legal guardian.
- 6.8 Bank card details are entered on the payment service's side; they are not passed to the Project and we do not store them.
7.Rights to the game and its materials
- 7.1 World of Warcraft, Legion and all related names, images, music and other materials belong to Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. and its rights holders.
- 7.2 The Project is not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment and is neither endorsed nor supported by it. We claim no rights to the game. Proceeds from AZ Coins go towards running the servers and developing the Project.
- 7.3 We do not distribute the game client as merchandise and we do not sell it. Each user is responsible for the lawfulness of their own use of the client.
- 7.4 The Project's own materials — site texts, guides, design and the launcher — were created by the team and the community. They may be used elsewhere only with a link back to the source.
- 7.5 By posting texts, screenshots and other material on the forum, you allow the Project to display them on its own platforms. The rights to the material itself remain yours.
- 7.6 If you are a rights holder and believe material on our resources infringes your rights, write to support@azeron.org — we will review the notice and remove the material if the claim is confirmed.
8.Liability
- 8.1 The Project is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, freedom from errors, or the preservation of game progress.
- 8.2 The administration is not liable for losses, lost profit or lost time arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the Project.
- 8.3 The administration is not liable for the acts of third parties: fraud by other players, an account compromised through careless password handling, or failures at the payment service, the network provider or the host.
- 8.4 Each user is responsible for complying with the laws of their own country while using the Project.
9.Termination of access
- 9.1 The administration may restrict or terminate access to the Project for breaching these terms or the Server Rules, without refunding the price of AZ Coins.
- 9.2 The administration may shut the Project down entirely. In that case in-game assets are not restored or compensated, and the price of AZ Coins is not refunded except where the law requires it. If the closure is planned, we will announce it in advance.
- 9.3 A user may stop using the Project at any time, without giving a reason.
10.Final provisions
- 10.1 If any provision of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest remain in force.
- 10.2 We aim to settle disputes by talking them through. You can reach us on the forum, in Discord and at support@azeron.org.
- 10.3 The original version of these terms is written in Russian. Translations are provided for convenience; in case of any discrepancy, the Russian text prevails.
